This bilingual (French/English) session will provide strategies for teaching the new social studies curriculum with an emphasis on new resources for Grades 5 and 8. We will also examine teaching plans that encompass the processing involved for successful inquiry in class. (Focus on Inquiry, AB Ed, 2004)

Caroline Létourneau is an Educational Consultant with Resource Development Services, Edmonton Public Schools. She coordinates and develops online and second language projects in the area of professional development resources for teachers. Caroline has experience as a French Consultant as well as a Technology Consultant with Consulting Services before joining the Resource Development Services team.
