In response to a mobile workforce, Alberta Children’s Services is exploring new ways to make learning opportunities available to employees. Podcasting will offer busy employees access to training materials
through audio wherever and whenever they choose—even while in transit.

About…

Caroline Wagenaar’s professional passion comes from engaging people in innovative processes for learning and collaboration. As a training consultant, she has seen distributed learning technologies evolve from the fax machine to our current plethora of tools. Caroline oversees development of employee learning resources at Alberta Children’s Services, an organization with 3000 employees located in 200 worksites.
 
Marguerite Koole from the Centre for Distance Education at Athabasca University completed her Master’s thesis on the theory and technology of mobile learning. As an Instructional Designer and Program Administrator, she is actively involved with the development educational technologies and the marketing and implementation of the Centre’s new doctoral program.
