This session will explore the nature of universal design for learning—from both a theoretical and practical standpoint. The presenters will engage the audience in a discussion of best practices as they apply to online learners.

About….

Karen has been teaching English Language Arts at the senior high school level since 1985. She joined the Rocky View Virtual School staff in 2000, and is currently working on completing a Master’s degree in Educational Research, specializing in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning.
 
Terri-Lynn has been working in the field of online education for 8 years. Previously working with the Rocky View Virtual School, she now teaches math at CBe-learn. In addition to her teaching role, she supports teachers in their use of technology and online course development, and is working towards a Master’s degree in the field of Educational Technology.
