Personalizing learning – Student Perceptions and Techniques for Delivery

CBe-learn has engaged with the Distributed Learning Resources Branch to develop the new Physics 20/30 online program for delivery in multiple formats in multiple jurisdictions, across Alberta. These courses demonstrate techniques that can be used to facilitate personalized learning. Participants are invited to test drive the resource and explore options for delivery and implementation as it relates to current data regarding personalized learning.

About Mark Anderson

Mark has taught science for 12 years, 4 as an online teacher and curriculum leader for the development of distributed learning models and online course development with the Calgary Board of Education. He has also been seconded by Alberta Learning (learnalberta.ca) to help develop 75 constructivist learning objects and lessons for the physics 20/30 program. He is also a co-author for the new Pearson Physics text resource and is currently the lead teacher/author for the physics 20/30 online program being developed for the distributed learning resource branch of Alberta Education. He has enjoyed the ability to connect with teachers across the province while delivering professional development opportunities for teachers in the area of technology integration in science. He has also been nominated for the PanCanadian Student’s Choice Award and the PanCanadian Learning Innovation Award. Mark has also played a lead role in writing and assessing the diploma exam program for Alberta Learning.
