An increasing trend towards collaborating on learning resource development means partners must bring copyright compliant works to the table. Learn to enjoy the copyright dance by gaining a better understanding of the law and its application to the development of educational resources that will be used in and beyond a regular classroom.

About…

Leslie  Peppler
Leslie oversees copyright management issues for the development of Alberta Education’s print and digital distributed learning resources. She works closely with vendors and partnering school jurisdictions to ensure their clearance procedures meet ministry needs.  A presenter at provincial and national conferences, Leslie is on a national committee to identify copyright “best  practices”.
Hal Welke
Hal’s forthright, and often humorous, approach to copyright leaves little room for misunderstanding.  His ISO9000 QA Lead Auditor experience has been instrumental in creating a superior copyright management system. Previous hi-tech sales experience translates into negotiating the “best bang for our buck” on permissions and an edge in acquiring digital rights.
