The Summer Hybrid Teaching Institute at NorQuest College orients classroom instructors to the paradigms and possibilities of web-based learning. They then work with instructional designers to develop hybrid curriculum that is highly effective. This presentation will describe the development of the Summer Hybrid Teaching Institute and present sample orientation activities.

Erwin Ens is an Instructional Designer in the Centre for Innovation and Development at NorQuest College. Prior to working at NorQuest, Erwin worked in various educational and administrative positions with the RCMP—Depot Division, the University of Regina and several ESL institutions in South Korea. Sandy McIntosh is an Instructional Designer in the Centre for Innovation and Development at NorQuest College.
