The Toolkit presented here is a model for dissemination of applied research directly into the workplace, one that users can access according to their specific learning needs. Funded by Health Canada, Office of Nursing Policy, the Toolkit contains best practices and tools for leaders to use in moving to full scope of Licensed Practical Nurse practice. The purpose of this presentation is to familiarize the audience with the Toolkit as a model for learning and collaborating in a changing worldlearning outcomes for Alberta Education.

Sylvia Teare BScN, MEd
Sylvia began her working career as a nurse educator and has been an instructional designer and consultant since 1990 in healthcare, post secondary education and business training environments. She is a proven leader in curriculum development for adult education and training with expertise in needs assessment, course design, instructional strategy development, project management, and project and course evaluation.
 
Dr. Jean Miller
Jean is an experienced nursing educator and most recently a health education consultant where most of her work focuses on maximizing the roles of health care providers. She is also a sessional instructor in the web-based nursing masters programs at Athabasca University. In her previous work Jean developed, coordinated, and taught in the distance delivered gerontology program at Mount Royal College.
