In the future, educators will need to keep current with their professional development even more than we do now. This session will explore how many of the new Web 2.0 technologies that support distributed learning can be used to create self-directed PD distributed learning environments for educators at lower costs.

Rod Corbett has been working in the field of adult education for 20 years in the roles of learner, instructor, technical support and instructional designer. He now helps faculty at Mount Royal College use Educational Technology effectively. Rod also teaches online courses about instructional design for the University of Calgary.
 
Dwayne Harapnuik received his PhD. in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta and currently is the Manager, Instructional Technology at Lethbridge College. Dwayne also serves as an Adjunct Professor for the Department of Educational Psychology in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta.
