This session presents the process employed in a research project about inclusive education in Pembina Hills Regional School Division #7. Background to the project is presented, along with an outline of how the school community is involved in the research, and how participation will be enhanced through distributed learning techniques.

Judy Lupart is a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Special Education, beginning January 2003, in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta. Her research, publication and teaching interests include inclusive education and school transformation; learning disabilities, giftedness and at-risk learners; and girls, women and achievement.
Dr. Tim Loreman is an Associate Professor of Education at Concordia University College of Alberta. Tim's professional interests include educational psychology and elementary education, and his research and publications have been focused largely on the subject of inclusion. He is married with two young children – Holly (8) and Tom (5).
