JLI Conference June 9 & 10, 2008 in Calgary

The Joint Learning Initiative (JLI) Conference will be held at Mount Royal College  on June 9 & 10, 2008.

The theme is: "Taming That Monster Under the Bed: Exploring Critical Relationships Between Supply Chains and the Environment."

Key Goals of the Conference

  • to create action in order that business, the public sector and the environment can all benefit from the anticipated changes ahead
  • to bring together the supply chain and environment sectors in order that the bottom line of business and the impact on the environment may be addressed in a cohesive, harmonized manner.
  • to create awareness, a sense of urgency, and to build resilliency and the capacity of Canadians to adapt to climate change and environmental pressures by more completely understanding  the supply chains that affect them either as individuals or as organizations.
  • to create a community of interest for those who wish to continue to work together towards some identified common goals relating to supply chain and the environment
  • to seed relevant research projects from conference profits which would support the conference goals and continue to move the conference agenda forward
